Gardens and garden walls

Garden walls, roofs and terraces

Green roofs have become a "must" for sustainable development and, in the end, they bring a number of benefits to the environment. To this end , the growing medium that Terreau Flore Bleue has developed and adapted helps to ensure the plant palette of your semi-intensive, intensive or extensive roof can be maintained over time, allowing for the overall success of your greening project. The benefits of this growing medium include:

  1. ensure the mechanical protection of the waterproofing membrane,
  2. improve the energy performance of the building,
  3. allow the environmental integration of your building,
  4. limit water discharges into the sewage system

Participate more effectively in the sustainable development of our cities, buildings and our future while respecting the natural environment. For more information about the products we offer, contact our team who will help you make your choice.

Your green roof and garden wall projects

TERALTOIT® 1500 - 750

By using the lightweight soils and growing media substrates from the TERALTOIT® range byTerreau Flore Bleue, which  meets the NF U 44-551 standard, you will be effectively contributing to the creation of a natural ecosystem where flora, fauna, environmental improvement and nature are all present for our greatest pleasure. This is the case with suspended planting, in slab-paved gardens or green roofs.

Our TERALTOIT® products are ready-to-use, lightweight growing media for the creation of terrace gardens (planters, balconies, terraces, etc.). Furthermore, our peat-free mixes are environmentally friendly. The majority of the raw materials come from the circular economy of Normandy.

These products are chemically inert and free of all pathogenic germs. Their physical properties are unalterable over time. The PH of our range is neutral and remains stable. TERALTOIT® 750 is one of the lightest on the market with a weight per m3 at maximum water capacity (MWC) of 750kg. It therefore allows the stringent weight constraints of a terrace to be respected, while bringing the humic stability necessary for the success of your planting.

Green walls and gabions

Garden walls, facades or even greened gabions form vertical walls that can contain ecosystems. what's more they can do so both indoors and outdoors. A green wall contributes to the retention of rainwater and helps to develop greater biodiversity. The TST3 substrate is very efficient for green garden walls because our mixture is suitable for distributing humidity even with a low level of thickness. The specific growing media substrates that have been developed by Terreau Flore Bleue offer a high resistance to settling, something that will help to support you in the creation of a green wall.

  • Lightened growing medium TST3 950 kg

On demand: custom mixes

Terreau Flore Bleue can create a custom mix for you, a product that will meet the characteristics of your project perfectly. The advantages of our custom-made lightweight soils and growing media substrates for your garden roofs and walls include:

  • a growing medium with organic matter that will allow your plants to develop over time,
  • a hydrophilic product that arrests the onward flow of rainwater,
  • a growing medium that serves as insulation for the building both in summer, by virtue of the natural humidity retention of the substrate and planting, as well as in winter thanks to the natural heat screen that is derived from the substrate and plant complex,
  • a range of plants cab be grown that will optimise and regulate dust, pollen and pollution emissions: CO2-type pollutants, very common in urban areas, will be captured by plants and stored in the lightweight growing medium mix.
